The fiesta specced in this video is just shy of £21k 😱 compared that to 2008 when the new one at the time then cost £11k for a decent one. No wonder car new sales have plummeted since 2017, it just means the depreciation will be a lot steeper. I know financing is the way to go for new cars but I far prefer being the owner of one, I just buy low mileage at 4-ish years old.

@@perpelle You are so brainwashed sir. First of all I visit all of the dealerships and VW had the best quality interior of all of the cars I drove and sat in. Second thing VW has the best resale value of all cars in that price range. And third in my book VW has not lost a thing of their repitation in my book. I drove a new Polo from 1997 to 2016 with no issues except new water pump and a new rear exaust pipe. After it I both a Golf mk6 and it has 100.000 miles on the clock with not a single issue!!! That and the rason that VW gave me the best price is the reason why I chose Polo once again. I am very satisfied with the consumption too average of 44mpg combined cycle for the 1.0TSI. A great little car and a great value for money !!

@@BrateTebra123 I didn't know that you associated soft touch plastic with quality. A toyota will outlast two polos.
We can exclude transporters huge problem with their engines a few years ago (including horrible paint quality) vws huge problem with their smaller engines and the fact that they cheated on everyone.
I wonder who is brainwashed when the only thing you drive are small vws?
I listen to mates that own everything from golf's to amaroks and generally the quality isn't there anymore if you look at the price tag.
I wouldn't touch a vw product with a 5 foot stick if it was my money since the warranty is crap.
100 000 miles is nothing btw. EVERY vehicle sold should last that. I drive that distance in three years and I expect any new vehicle to do that without any hassle.

Switched from a 12 plate Corsa recently. Had a test drive in an 18 plate ST line, I wanted to like it more than I did but it felt cheap and I was disappointed. Settled on an 18 Mazda 2 GT Sport Nav+ at the same age and price. Thought the Mazda was much better made by a longshot. It has much more comfortable suspension and better chassis balance, not to mention the 1.5NA petrol, super smooth and punchy 115 HP engine making tons of power in a 970 - 1030 KG car (130HP maps available). Mazda also has a short throw stick and lovely 6SPD box which is awesome, heated leather seats, cruise control, start-stop and HUD display with collision warning (and automatic braking), automatic wipers and automatic LED projector lights. Lots of metal and leather on the inside and super comfy, all toys that the £12000 fiesta didn't offer at the same price point. The only real downside are the drums on the rear, but I never liked my brakes too stabby for casual driving anyway! Japanese can really make small cars. I highly recommend it.

Ford Fiesta all the way! I drive a Peugeot 208 and it's undoubtedly FRENCH due to its stupid quirks. The controls are in all of the wrong places. The gearbox and breaks are unexpectedly soft (some people like that). The seats are uncomfortable, the steering wheel hides the instrument cluster due to its tiny size. And the interior has so many sharp lines and weird nooks that it takes twice the amount of time to clean properly. That said, the Peugeot 208 is fine as a daily driver. It's pretty fun to drive, the reliability is excellent and fuel economy is good. But if you want to buy a FRENCH car, specifically a PSA product, then buy an Opel. It's as if the Germans took a 208 and carefully eliminated every stupid FRENCH quirk. Even FRENCH auto journalists preferred the Opel Corsa over the 208 because it's easier to live with and breaks better.

Build quality🤔🤣 VW built & sold over 13 million totally illegal toxic cars 2008-19 in both diesel plus small engine petrol cars. Terrible deliberate criminal engineering. Family found their cars totally unreliable, stupidly expensive for what they are to repair to keep on the road and yes extremely dull and tedious to drive so Ford and others have nothing to worry about other than total ignorance of many buyers that VW group relies upon for sales in pretending to be what they really aren’t. They are not a customer focused company with good quality cars unless you are buying it for its plastic interior but not for it’s mediocre drivetrains and suspension, spring coils suspension kept breaking on family and friends!
